English UK's annual Teachers' Conference took on an international flavour this year as it welcomed delegates from China, Latvia and Argentina for the first time ever.

London has beaten New York and Sydney in a survey of preferred city destinations for students and the under-25s.

Thirteen language teaching associations from round the world have now signed up to a declaration on international students drafted by English UK. The document calls on governments, agencies and institutions to promote international student mobility.
